Johannesburg and Dunswart Provincial Laundries | 2023
We were commissioned by the Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) to assist increase the efficiency of two provincial laundries in Gauteng through the replacement of obsolete equipment at Johannesburg and Dunswart laundries, valued at R93 million.
Dundee Regional Laundry | KwaZulu-Natal | 2020 and 2022
Healthcare facilities have a need to produce clean, disinfected linen, and nothing says hygiene more than our Primus range of hygienic barrier washer extractors.
In November 2020 we delivered & commissioned two 180kg Primus hygienic barrier washer extractors at the Dundee Regional Laundry, Dundee, Kwazulu-Natal, which provides laundry services to many hospitals and healthcare clinics in the district. The design of a barrier washer takes into consideration the separation of dirty and clean laundry areas, to avoid cross-contamination of clean linen.
This year (2022), 3 Jensen ALPHA ironer lines were commissioned as well as a 14 compartment Jensen CBW.

Frere Provincial Hospital Laundry | East London | 2020 and 2012
Frere Hospital is a large, provincial, government funded hospital situated in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
It was established in 1881 and is a tertiary teaching hospital and forms part of the East London Hospital Complex with Cecilia Makilwane Hospital.

- In February 2020, another complete identical ironer line was installed which included linking it to the existing Jenway conveyor system allowing both the new and old ironer line to deliver the clean linen directly to the linen room. The contract includes for the complete servicing of the new ironer line for a 10 year period and will be backed up by our technician based in East London.

Bethal and Middleburg Central Laundries service hospitals in the area and collectively, process over 16 tonnes of linen on a daily basis.

Life Heathcare Laundry | Johannesburg | 2013
Life Healthcare is a leading private hospital operator in South Africa and primarily serves the market for privately insured individuals, representing approximately eight million people.
The group provides mainly acute care, high technology private hospital services. Life Healthcare’s hospital division currently owns and operates 56 acute care facilities, with a comprehensive geographic spread in seven South African provinces and Botswana, and also has a shareholding in an additional seven hospitals with 7665 beds in total.
Set up to process the laundry for approximately 30 sites in 1 shift, this laundry is capable of producing over 25 tonnes of clean linen in an 8 hour day. Fitted with world leading brands like Jensen and Speed Queen that only adopt the most modern, eco-friendly practices when designing and operating their machines, it wasn’t difficult providing this client with the complete solution to their needs. Our involvement in this project was from the concept stage, engaging with all the relevant role players that it takes to put a laundry like this together, right to the very last moment where we turned on the power and gave life to the laundry that now seamlessly processes tonnes of clean linen for all their local hospitals.

Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital is the 3rd largest hospital in the world, occupying around 173 acres (0.70 km2), with approximately 3 200 beds and about 6 760 staff members.

The Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (formerly Johannesburg General Hospital), nicknamed Joburg Gen is an accredited general hospital in Parktown, Johannesburg South Africa. It has 1,088 beds. The hospital’s professional and support staff exceeds 4000 people.
It is also the main teaching hospital for the University of the Witwatersrand, faculty of Health Sciences. The institution provides the service base for undergraduate and post-graduate training in all area of health professions.

Repairs and Maintenance Contracts
These laundries are populated with a combination of old and new equipment – New equipment making up more then half of the selection. Modern equipment is the key to improving productivity and in large laundries like these, it is essential that machinery is kept running at its optimum levels. This is where our trained service technicians are well skilled to work on all brands of large scale laundry equipment and offer a complete solution to our client.
Dunswart and Masakhane Regional Laundries | Boksburg & Pretoria | 2014
Each of these laundries service between 20 and 30 government hospitals in their respective areas and collectively, process over 40 tonnes of linen on a daily basis.
Equipped with 8 x CBW’s, connected to shuttle conveyors that serve over 40 tumble dryers with a capacity of 120kg each.
Following a short stint in the dryer, linen is transferred via conveyors to 16 high output industrial ironers.
To cope with the large volumes of gowns and scrubs, we have installed 4 tunnel finishers that have the capacity of producing up to 3200 garments an hour. These garments are feed automatically via a hooked arial conveyor system that systematically feeds the tunnel finisher on demand. Production outputs are carefully monitored by a networked system that links all laundry equipment, enabling our client to keep their finger on the pulse at all times.
Middleburg and Bethal Central Laundries | 2014
These laundries service government hospitals in the area and collectively, process over 16 tonnes of linen on a daily basis.
Due to the recorded improvements experienced by the laundries we have received requests by other Government and Private laundries around the Country, to undertake similar service work. They include Frere Hospital in the Eastern Cape, Chris Hane Baragwaneth and Johannesburg General in Gauteng.
